Our House is an inpatient hospice cottage owned and operated by Hospice of Murray County, located in Slayton, Minnesota. This comfortable home features four patient beds in a modern facility that provides additional assistance when care becomes greater than a family can provide in their home. Trained Medication Aides (TMAs) provide patient assistance 24 hours a day under the consultation of an RN. TMAs provide personal care and assist patients with bathing, dressing, meals, snacks, and laundry. Our House staff focuses on meeting all the needs of our patients and their families during their time of need. We encourage all of our patients and their loved ones to make themselves at home during their stay at Our House. If the patient chooses to receive their hospice services in Our House in Slayton, the rent of $220.00 per day is not included as part of the Medicare hospice benefit. This expense is paid either by private individual insurance, medical assistance (for those who qualify), other qualifying insurance like long term care policies, or out-of-pocket.
