What is Hospice Care?
Hospice care, or palliative care, is a
combination of compassionate care
services that are provided to terminally ill
patients to ensure their physical, emotional,
and spiritual needs are met. Family support
is also provided during this time of
uncertainty and grief.
Why Choose Hospice?
Hospice care can be delivered in the comfort
and familiarity of the patient’s own home, in
their nursing home or assisted living facility,
or in a hospice facility like Our House.
Priority is given to reduce pain and suffering
to make patients as comfortable as possible
as they near the end of their life.
What You Can Expect?
Usually, a doctor will make a
recommendation for the patient to start
receiving hospice services. After that
referral, the hospice team will meet with the
patient and their loved ones to discuss and
develop a customized hospice care plan for
the patient and answer questions.
COMPASSION
We understand what
patients and their families
go through during this time,
