Hospice of Murray County has the same service for all its patients and families regardless of where the care is delivered. Although the majority of care is provided in the homes, it can also be provided in nursing homes, the hospital or at Our House, the hospice house in Slayton.
Hospice is for those people who choose comfort care, rather than aggressive treatment that is focused on cure of the illness.
The goal of Hospice is the hope and belief that through appropriate care, patients will remain at home, maintain dignity and live each day as fully as possible, giving the
patient and the family emotional and spiritual peace of mind.
